PAS Racing Secures Overall Win at the Gravel Earth Series

PAS Racing, the international gravel team backed by Danish cycling apparel label Pas Normal Studios showcased their determination to compete and win throughout the season at yesterday’s final race of the Gravel Earth Series: the 2024 Ranxo Gravel.

Dubbed one of the most challenging gravel races on the cycling calendar, Ranxo Gravel took place on Sunday, 13 October 2024. The race, organized by Klassmark, was the final race of the Gravel Earth Series that includes both The Traka in Girona, The Rift on Iceland and Migration Gravel in Kenya. The Ranxo Gravel event is known for its demanding course, which features a mix of technical trails and fast-paced gravel sections which test the field of world-class riders to their limits.

Fast, flat, and tricky – I managed to play the game and reduced the front group to two women. In the last 5km, I dropped Morgan Aguirre to win Ranxo and secure the overall win for the Gravel Earth Series.

PAS Racing’s Karolina Migón and Simen Nordahl Svendsen were coming into the race as number one ranked riders of the Gravel Earth Series having competed and secured valuable points over the season, especially at The Rift where Nordahl Svendsen came in first and at The Traka where Migón secured the top spot on the women's 360 podium. At the Gravel Earth Series final, Ranxo Gravel race, both showcased their tactical brilliance and strong performance across 160km through the picturesque terrain of Catalonia, Spain. Migón and Nordahl Svendsen secured 1st place and 2nd place with a time of 05:44:11 and 04:52:29, respectively.
The performances at the Ranxo Gravel secured both the points needed to defend their leading position in the Gravel Earth Series.

Ranxo was such a diverse course, with technical sections, punchy climbs, and fast flats that suited my riding style very well. I went into the race with a lot of confidence. We stayed in a large group until the last climb, where I managed to stay in the top 5 and beat Peter Stetina in the sprint.

PAS Racing’s athletes were among the standout performers in the 160 km race. Their success at Ranxo Gravel reaffirms their dedication, focused training and strategic prowess, which were all on full display as they navigated the challenging gravel terrain.
